Rosina Brace (formerly, Rosina Olifent) was attracted to dogs
from a very early age. During her teens she rescued and took in a
Boxer bitch which was to be destroyed and from then on began a love
affair with the breed Under the "Anisor" prefix in New Zealand. She
bred Boxers and Boston Terriers very successfully with many
champions.
Coming to Australia in 1973 she established the "Sjecoin" Boxer
kennels and since then there have been many Champions and Grand
Champions bred and exhibited both in Australia and internationally.
Now there have been 182 Australian and International Champions bred and/or owned plus 12 Grand Champions, 4 Tracking Champions, 3 Track and Search Grand Champions plus other performance titles (thanks to Margaret Coker & Kristin Flynn for their great efforts with the performance results).
Mention must be made of two incomparable Boxers, one homebred and
one imported which had such a lasting influence upon the succession
of later Sjecoin Boxers
Ch Sjecoin Winter Forcast (SOM) "Simon" and USA Ch Merrilanes
Golden Gloves (IMP USA) (SOM) "Mitts"

Always being aware of the need to maintain a healthy gene pool
available for breeding, Rosina has owned Boxers imported from
England and the United States of America. This has allowed her to
maintain bloodlines from recognized producers and uphold the first
principle of breeding - to maintain and improve the breed within the
Standard.
Rosina has judged Boxers extensively, particularly at Specialty
level, in Australia, New Zealand, in Asia, the UK and the USA
including the American Boxer Club 1988 Specialty. However, Rosina
particularly enjoys the challenge of showing her homebred Boxers
against strong and respected competition and the tally of Champions
and a record of 53 Royal CC's plus over 100 Best in Show awards is
testimony to her achievements over the years.
With her husband David who is much involved in the administrative
activities of the Victorian dog world, Rosina and he both share a
love and respect for this wonderful breed. We hope you will enjoy
pictures of some of our Boxers from down the years to the present.
